So I really, really blew it. Sorry this is two weeks and two days late. But it was a really nice way to spend a Saturday night. Thanks for that.

I really can't understand why I keep trying to post my Session blog, but it simply won't allow me to include the URL (like my friend the Beer Nut, it seems).
So, please go to beerodyssey dot blogspot dot com and scroll down to: session-20-beer-memories.

There will be a few more recent posts, and I'll try to figure next month why it won't allow me to post.
Cheers,
Brian

Just flew in from London Friday morning, headed to Durham, North Carolina for the World Beer Festival, and finished my Session post late that night, after drinking with Lew Bryson (and others). Here's the link:

Nice memory...

When the second Iraq war began, I was in a bar called The Red Garter in Tucson, Arizona. I was undoubtedly drinking Sierra Nevada; that's what we drank there. They had pool tables with purple felt. The bartender (and her boyfriend) both worked as mail carriers during the day. You'd have thought the place was a strip joint, by the name and the lack of windows- in fact, all the light light inside was provided by either neon signs or the pool table lights- there were indeed exactly no windows- but two doors at least. In a lot of ways, it was just a normal night- we shot pool and drank and derided the administration and worried about finishing grad school. jaded, right? I guess. But I certainly reckoned there was trouble ahead.

Our contribution to the Session is up here:
